Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Education Specialist will play a vital role in delivering, enhancing, and developing clinical education for both internal staff and external candidates. This position is integral to our broader Internal Quality Assurance team, promoting best practices and fostering development in pre-hospital care.

In addition to educational responsibilities, the successful candidate will also participate in our clinical operations team, responding to emergency calls, providing clinical care in diverse environments, and offering support to non-registered healthcare professionals.

Job Duties

The Clinical Education Specialist will be a key member of our clinical operations, supervisory, and educational teams.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Actively participating in operational service delivery, exemplifying best practices through clinical deployments.
  • Building professional and academic networks to support ongoing personal development.
  • Contributing to the management and development of educational programs.
  • Facilitating Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions.
  • Creating educational materials and training resources.
  • Providing continuous support to students, including clinical and operational guidance.
  • Encouraging engagement in CPD among all staff and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Assessing and providing feedback on submitted work.
  • Reviewing action plans and offering feedback to support learners in their career progression.
  • Conducting assessments in both educational and operational contexts.
  • Developing policies and operational documents as needed.
  • Creating and refining course materials, including presentations, lesson plans, and learner handbooks.
  • Contributing to the quality assurance initiatives.
  • Facilitating strategy meetings to enhance the quality and delivery of education through the tutor team.
  • Supporting the development of our mentorship program and maintaining regular contact with mentors to understand mentees' learning journeys.
