We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Engineer to join our team at Solus Accident Repair Centres. As a Motor Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and damage assessments of vehicles, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities
The Role

Our Motor Engineers work closely with our approved repair network to ensure that repairs are carried out to the highest standards, using the latest technology and techniques. You will be responsible for:


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting thorough inspections and damage assessments of vehicles
  • Estimating and authorizing repairs to our approved repair network
  • Monitoring the performance of our repair network and identifying areas for improvement
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and repairers

Requirements
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Member of either IMI / IRTE / ATA / VDA or be working towards (or willing to do so)
  • Motor Claims knowledge including a basic understanding of insurance principles
  • Good working knowledge of computerised damage estimating systems, including Audatex
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Positive and self-confident approach when dealing with our customers
  • Empathy, tact, assertiveness and diplomacy when talking to customers
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and where required be able to use own initiative
