About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Organisation Development Team as an Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a compassionate and inclusive culture that recognises the humanity of our people and supports their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with stakeholders to initiate, lead and deliver equality, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing proposals that support our organisation's strategy.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to support the delivery of equality, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing initiatives that help deliver our People and Organisational Development strategy.
  • Collaborate across teams to support the delivery of key programmes and progress reporting on plans.
  • Analyse data, forecast trends and produce reports with clear recommendations to influence and inform decision-making for senior leadership.

Requirements
  • Experience of leading work on equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing at a senior management level in a large and complex multi-professional organisation.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence senior managers and staff, including Executive Board Members, to engage with the equality, diversity and inclusion and wellbeing agenda.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing people policies and programmes of work.
  • Experience of organisational development and managing change, and advising on the implications of change.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Registered with a relevant informatics professional body.
  • Recognised training qualification.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience of working within a unionised environment and building successful partnerships.
Skills and Attributes
  • Visionary leadership, enthusiasm and courage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write and present highly complex information in the form of reports, policies and strategy documents to a publishable standard.

Language Skills

Candidates with Welsh language skills are desirable, with a minimum of level 1 in understanding, speaking, reading and writing in Welsh.
