About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our visitor-facing team at Box Hill, one of the busiest countryside destinations in the country. As a Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our diverse audience, inspiring them to explore the wonderful hills and woodlands on offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the visitor-facing team to deliver the visitor operation, focusing on access and inspiring our audience to explore the countryside.
- Line manage a team of Welcome & Service Assistants and support volunteers on site to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure our visitor operations remain compliant, well-presented, and well-staffed each day.
- Create seasonal events and activities, and work on outdoor interpretation to advocate for nature.
- Focus on growing support through fundraising and membership, engaging visitors with the work that we do, and inspiring them to support the National Trust.
What We're Looking For
- Experience of delivering inspirational engagement activities.
- Excellent people skills, enabling good working relationships with those in your team and across the property.
- Strong organisational skills, and the ability to time manage projects successfully.
- Flexible customer-focused approach with experience in delivering high standards of customer service.
- Experience of working with and supervising volunteers.
- Understanding of how to identify and manage risks.
