About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Care Support Specialist to join our team at SferaCare. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care and support to our residents, promoting independence, choice, and dignity.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that each resident receives high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with our residents, empowering them to maintain their skills, personal interests, and connections with the local community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse
  • Support and enable residents to maintain skills and personal interests while delivering person-centred care unique to each individual
  • Maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge
  • Contribute to the efficient running of the home
  • Support residents to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
  • Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support residents are followed
  • Be responsible for informing the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of residents in your care
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals you support
  • Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the home
  • Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for staff
  • Be a role model for other carers and be an ambassador for the service
  • Be professional, polite, and reasonable at all times
  • Knowledge of, and work within, the Fundamental Standards
  • Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of CQC and their requirements
  • Commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role
  • Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management
  • Understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role
  • Be open to learning opportunities
