Job Summary

St Paul's Primary Care Network is seeking a part-time Clinical Pharmacist to work across four practices in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will join a Pharmacy Team supported by GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, and the wider clinical team.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide face-to-face and virtual patient-centred consultations and telephone support to patients and external agencies.
  2. Carry out a variety of tasks, including prescribing within competency, medication reviews, and clinical letters.
  3. Oversee the complex needs of housebound and care home patients, and review and de-prescribe in polypharmacy.
  4. Support less experienced pharmacists and technicians, and manage suitable long-term conditions.
About the Role

This role is ideally suited to an Independent Prescriber with experience in primary care. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively across the team, deliver the ethos of the network, and be adaptable, self-motivated, and organised.

Key Requirements
  • To be an Independent Prescriber or close to completion, and able to undertake face-to-face consultations with patients.
  • To receive support and supervision from a Senior Clinical Pharmacist and GP lead.
  • To develop and facilitate a good working relationship with community pharmacists, hospital pharmacists, and other local providers of healthcare.
