About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Counsel to join our team at Frasers Group. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in advising on all aspects of our property portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on real estate matters, including contentious and non-contentious issues
  • Manage a variety of property acquisitions, including freehold and leasehold properties
  • Assist with site disposals, including sales and leasebacks
  • Review and advise on JCT contracts and collateral warranties
  • Property litigation, including dilapidations claims and general litigation
  • Draft new leases and standard clauses for use across the portfolio
  • Assist with the management of panel law firms and other external law firms
  • Review title documentation and leases to advise the business
  • Day-to-day queries from the team on legal matters, including leasehold and freehold
Requirements
  • Must be a UK qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) or a Chartered Legal Executive
  • Previous in-house experience desired but not a pre-requisite
  • Must have Landlord and Tenant experience and a basic understanding of restructuring
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-organised with a professional approach
  • Ability to work flexibly and to tight time scales
  • Delegation skills, balancing work done in-house and work done by externals
