Salary

The salary for this role is £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience. This rate includes holiday pay and is paid through our PAYE payroll system.

Job Description

This position involves working as part of a dedicated team supporting students with Autism in a primary school setting. As a Special Education Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students achieve their individual developmental targets. This will include one-to-one work, assisting with planning and resourcing activities, and occasionally leading whole-class sessions when required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of the lead teacher.
  • Provide targeted support to students with Autism, helping them progress towards their individual goals.
  • Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging resources and activities.
  • Lead whole-class sessions when requested.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires:

  • A HLTA qualification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience working with children with Autism.
