Special Education Science Role

About the Role
This permanent position involves teaching science to secondary-aged pupils with EHCPs. You will be responsible for engaging parents in supporting children at home by helping to set boundaries and manage behavior. You will also be expected to develop strategies to support students who have SEMH and MLD needs.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering general science and specializing in any of the science subjects. They will also be expected to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work within a dynamic and challenging environment. A good understanding of what makes an effective intervention strategy and a commitment to safeguarding young people are essential. If you have already had training in positive behaviour management such as Team Teach / PBM / MAPA and/or THRIVE training, we would be particularly interested in hearing from you, although we can offer you training if you're successful in being appointed.
