Stroke and Neuro Physio Specialist

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team as a Specialist Rotational Physiotherapist in Neurology and Stroke. This is a rare opportunity to gain experience in a variety of specialized areas, including Acute Stroke, Stroke Rehabilitation, Early Supported Discharge Service, Specialist Neurological Rehab Unit, Brain Injury Unit, Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service, and Acute Neurology.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work alongside highly skilled clinical specialist staff from the MDT and will be supported by a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist within each of the rotations. The rotations are 12 months long to allow for the development of skills in each area and becoming part of the team. The candidate will be expected to support and train less experienced staff and to be a clinical educator to students from various universities.
About the RoleThis is a Band 6 Specialist Rotational Physiotherapist post, which includes rotations in Acute Stroke, Stroke Rehabilitation, Early Supported Discharge Service, Specialist Neurological Rehab Unit, Brain Injury Unit, Community Integrated Neurology and Stroke Service, and Acute Neurology. The successful candidate will work across the organisations of LPT and UHL, and will be employed by LPT. The role requires the use of a car that can be used for work purposes and a UK driving licence.
Requirements- A basic respiratory skill set is desirable, but training will be offered as required.
- The successful candidate will be expected to support and train less experienced staff and to be a clinical educator to students from various universities.
