Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all residents receive quality care by undertaking accurate assessments, planning, and delivery of care plans, along with effective handovers.
  • Maintaining NMC Code of Professional Conduct and meeting registration requirements at all times.
  • Deploying and supervising staff within the care team, ensuring tasks are completed during duty periods and residents receive required care.
  • Undertaking nursing tasks, including medication distribution, dressing, catheterisation, tube feeding, and management of chronic medical conditions.
  • Providing support, guidance, and instruction on care activities, especially during new staff induction and mentoring.
  • Contributing to and attending staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals to maintain a holistic approach to resident care.

  • Good nursing experience
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Able to write care plans
  • Able to show empathy and warmth
  • Able to perform general nursing tasks such as peg feeding, wound care, phlebotomy, etc.
