Strategic Health and Safety Leadership Opportunity in a Hazardous Process Manufacturing Environment

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional to join our team as Aerospace Risk Management Lead. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and functional direction in all aspects of personal safety, health, and security.

As part of our dynamic hazardous process manufacturing site, you will work closely with the Site Leadership Team, regional/corporate SH&E functions, UK employees, and contractors to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.

Your key objectives will include:

  • Implementing programs that develop a culture of zero harm to employees, contractors, and neighbors
  • Maintaining and improving performance exceeding compliance through regular audits and inspections
  • Managing relationships with regulatory bodies, including the UK Health and Safety Executive
  • Ensuring effective implementation and maintenance of Corporate Health, Safety, and Security policies
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's/University degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Sciences, or a related field
  • A minimum of five years' relevant Health and Safety experience in a hazardous process industry environment (Chemical, Steel, Oil & Gas, Pharma)
  • Practical experience of Behavioural safety and culture change, confined space entry, risk assessment, safe systems of work, contractor safety during shutdown and construction
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and practices
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
