Main Responsibilities:

To support the Accounts Payable Manager in covering all aspects of the Accounts Payable function, primarily for BGC Group and Cantor LLP operations in EMEA.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the Accounts Payable team, raising the bar in terms of quality and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process invoices and expense claims in a timely manner, adhering to company policies.
  2. Respond to queries in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Produce Oracle payment files and monitor bank statements for rejections.
  4. Assist with Accounts Payable payment files across multiple currencies.
  5. Undertake analytical reviews of payments, including trend analysis to identify anomalies.
  6. Assist the AP Manager with ad-hoc requests.
  7. Support auditors with timely delivery of files and responses to queries.

Required Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate should have prior AP experience in a multi-currency environment, preferably in the UK financial services industry.

  1. Experience with integrated and computerised accounting systems, preferably Oracle.
  2. Previous experience with an invoice scanning and approval workflow product.
  3. Proactive attitude with the ability to take responsibility.
  4. Strong relationship building skills to develop and maintain relationships.
  5. Strong attention to detail.
  6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Process analysis skills to identify vulnerabilities and control weaknesses.

Used Systems:

  1. Strong MS Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables.
  2. Prior experience with Oracle Accounts Payable and iExpenses modules is preferable.
  3. Coupa – Invoice approval tool.
  4. Other Microsoft Office applications.
