Senior Children's Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team at a stunning children's residential service. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 8-18 who require support with emotional, behavioural, and complex interpersonal needs.

About the Role:

  • Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
  • Mentor and support newer staff members
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment
  • Deal with challenging behaviours and protect children from risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being

Requirements:

  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
  • 2-year experience in a residential children's home environment
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Ability to work the shift pattern (8am-10pm plus sleep ins)
