Job Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Brecon. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for working with clients across the area, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Key working a caseload of clients, you will work autonomously to manage your own schedule and provide support tailored to each individual's needs.
  • Working from home, the office, and out in the community, you will work proactively to achieve positive outcomes and goals outlined by individuals.
  • You will have the opportunity to broaden or strengthen your skills in supporting a range of complex needs, including housing crisis, substance misuse, complex mental health, ACEs, and offending behaviour.
  • You will develop your understanding of ACEs and work with a trauma-informed approach in a physiologically informed environment.
  • You will enhance your relationship-building and partnership-working skills by promoting your services and working closely with local agencies.
Requirements
  • The ability to engage and build strong relationships with people.
  • A non-judgmental mindset and an understanding of the impacts of homelessness, substance misuse, family breakdown, domestic abuse, and trauma.
  • A forward-thinking and resilient attitude to overcome the barriers and setbacks you will face.
  • A strong character who can remain calm and collected in challenging situations.
  • Experience in support work or housing, with an understanding of housing options, housing law, and basic benefits.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car.
