Job Title: Lead Level Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Level Designer to join our team at Warner Bros. Discovery. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of level designers to deliver high-quality levels that support the creative pillars of our game.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of level designers to deliver high-quality levels that meet the required quality bar.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that level design is integrated into the game development process.
  • Establish level design best practices and improve the level design workflow for your team.
  • Oversee, mentor, and coach designers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Work with production teams to verify task estimations and ensure that the team is delivering work to deadlines at quality.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in level design on AAA titles, including experience in a leadership role.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of game and level design, including layout, architectural composition, combat and encounter design, balancing, flow, difficulty, progression, and usability.
  • Passion for creating fun and accessible games for children and families.
  • Experience in games development and shipped at least one action or action/adventure title on console or PC.
