We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Level Designer to join our team at Warner Bros. Discovery. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of level designers to deliver high-quality levels that support the creative pillars of our game.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of level designers to deliver high-quality levels that meet the required quality bar.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that they are involved in the design process and provide feedback to ensure that their work meets the required quality bar.
- Establish level design best practices and improve the level design workflow for your team.
- Oversee, mentor, and coach designers to ensure that they are delivering their work to deadlines at quality.
- Work with production teams to verify task estimations and ensure that the team is delivering their work to deadlines.
- Significant progressively complex experience within level design on AAA titles, including experience of at least one leadership role and at least one title shipped in this position.
- A broad knowledge of all aspects of game and level design, including layout, architectural composition, combat and encounter design, balancing, flow, difficulty, progression, and usability.
- A passion for creating fun and accessible games for children and families.
- Experience of games development and shipped at least one action or action/adventure title on console or PC title.
