Lead Level Designer

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Level Designer to join our team. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of level designers to deliver high-quality levels that support the creative pillars of our game.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of level designers to deliver high-quality levels that meet the required quality bar.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure that they are involved in the design process and provide feedback to ensure that their work meets the required quality bar.
  • Establish level design best practices and improve the level design workflow for your team.
  • Oversee, mentor, and coach designers to ensure that they are delivering their work to deadlines at quality.
  • Work with production teams to verify task estimations and ensure that the team is delivering their work to deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in level design on AAA titles, including experience in a leadership role and at least one title shipped in this position.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of game and level design, including layout, architectural composition, combat and encounter design, balancing, flow, difficulty, progression, and usability.
  • Passion for creating fun and accessible games for children and families.
  • Experience in games development and shipped at least one action or action/adventure title on console or PC title.
