Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our Community Learning Disability Team as a Clinical Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities and their families.

Working under the guidance of a qualified practitioner, you will implement care plans and provide support in various community settings. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the wellbeing of service users, ensuring their needs are met, and promoting their independence.

The successful candidate will work flexibly across different settings, collaborating with other agencies, carers, and the wider multi-disciplinary team. Opportunities for continued professional development will be available, including training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Trauma-Informed Care.

Main Duties

As a Clinical Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct care and support to individuals with learning disabilities in community settings
  • Implementing care plans and monitoring progress
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with service users, carers, and families
  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant qualification in Learning Disability or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2)
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities in community settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use electronic patient notes
