As a Clinical Lead in Eating Disorder Psychiatry, you will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide medical input to the community within Norfolk.

The post holder will have responsibility for day-to-day management of the service, working closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist and the team to ensure safe and effective medical monitoring of community patients suffering from severe or enduring eating disorders. Key duties include:

  • Liaising with GP colleagues to ensure safe and effective medical monitoring of community patients.
  • Forming and maintaining professional links with GP's, families, carers, other mental health professionals, 3rd sector organisations and acute care colleagues.
  • Manging comorbidities and liaising with other professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

The post holder will also participate in assessment clinics, specific reviews of patients, and writing tribunal reports as required. In addition, teaching and training of junior staff, medical students, and other disciplines will be an essential part of the role.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience of multi-disciplinary working, knowledge of policy and legislation relating to mental health, and the ability to make decisions and carry out responsibilities without direct supervision. A competitive salary of £85,000 - £110,000 per annum is on offer, depending on experience, making this an attractive opportunity for those looking to take their career to the next level.
