We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide day-to-day transactional accounting support to our Finance team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced or aspiring Accounts Payable Clerk looking to contribute to the smooth operation of our accounts payable process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process invoices and expenses in preparation for month-end and payment runs, ensuring timely and compliant financial standards.
  • Reconcile and process Company Corporate Cards, maintaining accurate records and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Assist with internal and external accounts payable queries, providing prompt and professional responses.
  • Maintain daily communication with suppliers, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues as necessary.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of supplier statements, taking corrective action when required.
  • Support the year-end statutory audit as needed, demonstrating attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Contribute to the finance team by providing general assistance and support for ad-hoc tasks, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure all accounts payable activities adhere to relevant financial policies and procedures, fostering a culture of compliance.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize workload, delivering responsibilities on time and to a high standard.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

The successful candidate will possess excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. AAT qualifications or experience in Accounts Payable are desirable, as is the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
