About the Role

We are seeking an Experimental Officer to join our team at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, a leading research facility for lab-based X-ray Computed Tomography. As an Experimental Officer, you will play a key role in the design, procurement, integration, and testing of custom-built imaging systems, as well as providing technical support to users and supervising the facility environment.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual with a background in a STEM discipline and a PhD. Previous experience in imaging, microscopy, phase contrast, or X-rays is an advantage. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, procure, integrate, and test custom-built imaging systems
  • Provide technical support to users, including training and guidance
  • Supervise the facility environment, ensuring safety and maintenance
  • Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to maintain equipment and run experiments
