Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs across South Lakes.
Main Responsibilities:- Assist in the planning, organisation, and delivery of Pulmonary Rehabilitation assessments, groups, and final assessments.
- Support patients in completing health questionnaires and taking basic clinical observations as part of fitness testing.
- Conduct fitness testing under the supervision of a Physiotherapist as part of the PR initial and final assessments.
- Work in a compassionate and respectful manner with patients, their relatives, and carers, role modelling our Trust values and behaviours.
- Perform cleaning of equipment and comply with health and safety processes to ensure safe delivery of PR for our patients.
- Write up clinical notes using EMIS web clinical records system and enter clinical data into our Audit spreadsheet.
- Support the staffing cover and delivery of PR exercise classes as needed.
- Level 3 Care Certificate or equivalent experience/training.
- EDL.
- Experience working in a team and using Microsoft Office and other IT applications.
- Experience providing care/therapy to adults and working as a healthcare or therapy assistant.
- Experience working within a community health or social care service.
We offer a permanent contract with our Trust and a role aligned with the Community Respiratory Service until 31st March 2026. Further funding for us to continue these Respiratory services beyond April 2026, will be dependent on the success of this trial period.
