Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Director to lead our commercial function at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing commercial leadership, strategic advice, and direction to the Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Provide commercial leadership and strategic advice to the Trust
- Lead the commercial team and develop a commercial strategy to maximize opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive commercial growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with NHS commercial and governance requirements
- Proven experience in a senior commercial or finance role, ideally within the NHS
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to contribute to major strategic programmes
- Ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to bring about change and service improvements
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate into objectives and action
