Join Our Team as a Commercial Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Director to lead our commercial function at a large NHS Trust in the South East of England. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing commercial leadership, vision, and direction to the commercial team and specifically to the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level commercial advice to the Trust's senior leadership team
  • Lead the commercial team to deliver an outstanding commercial and procurement service for the benefit of staff and patients
  • Support the Trust in delivering an exceptional commercial and procurement service
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize opportunities and drive growth
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective commercial management and procurement practices

Requirements:

  • Experience of operating at board/sub-board level in a senior finance or commercial role, ideally within the NHS or a similar environment
  • Engaging and inclusive leadership style with the credibility and gravitas to lead commercial management in a complex acute setting
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and implement effective commercial strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
