Civil Litigation Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX practitioner to join our Litigation & Regulatory Services Team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation work, primarily focusing on housing disrepair claims, injunction applications, possession claims, and closure applications.
- Act as a confident advocate in civil proceedings in the County Court and Magistrates Court.
- Provide training to council departments and serve as a legal adviser to committees as needed.
- Current practising certificate and relevant experience in civil litigation.
- Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels across the council.
- Desirable: experience working in local government.
- Local Government Pension Scheme.
- A blend of office and remote working.
