Civil Litigation Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our Litigation & Regulatory Services Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of civil litigation work, primarily focusing on housing disrepair claims, injunction applications, possession claims, and closure applications.
Key Responsibilities- Deal with a diverse range of civil litigation cases, including disrepair claims, injunction applications, and possession claims.
- Act as a confident advocate in civil proceedings in the County Court and Magistrates Court.
- Provide training to council departments and act as a legal adviser to committees as required.
- Work effectively with elected members, senior leadership team, and other stakeholders to achieve team goals.
- A current practising certificate as a Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX practitioner.
- Experience of working in local government is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels across the council.
- A blend of office and remote working.
- Local Government Pension Scheme.
