The Role:

As a Data Governance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UK GDPR, PECR, and BCBS239 regulations. Your primary goal will be to maximize the value of available data while maintaining data quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and improve data quality across the organization, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Risk and Finance teams, to ensure BCBS239 compliance and work closely with IT and marketing teams to manage cookies.
  • Represent the data governance team across analytical groups and business areas, providing advice and support on data infrastructure, integrity, quality, and privacy.
  • Champion data governance awareness and knowledge across the organization, enhancing the data culture and promoting best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a data governance or protection setting.
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations, including UK GDPR, PECR, and BCBS239.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment and maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
