Job Title: Peer Support Lead in London Prisons

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Peer Support Lead to join our team in London Prisons. As a Peer Support Lead, you will play a vital role in delivering peer-led elements of service delivery, supporting the team and the prison in promoting engagement and delivery of recovery pathways and peer support.

About the Role:
  • Deliver peer support services to service users in HMP Brixton and HMP Wormwood Scrubs
  • Recruit, train, and supervise peer supporters and mentors at each site
  • Develop and coordinate training on a peer support programme
  • Work closely with the substance misuse team to deliver services directly to service users
  • Support the team in building and improving links between the substance misuse service, prison, and wider healthcare services
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice sector and substance misuse issues
  • Ability to develop and deliver training on a peer support programme
  • Previous experience of providing a peer support service to a similar client group
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent
