Job Title: Peer Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Wellbeing Team as a Peer Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students and contribute to the delivery of our wellbeing services.

About the Role:

The Peer Support Assistant will provide administrative support to the Wellbeing Team, including coordinating the KCLSU Buddy Scheme and Centralised Peer Mentoring Structure. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the KCLSU Wellbeing Instagram account and promoting our services through various channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with general administrative tasks to support the work of the Wellbeing Team, including communicating with student and staff stakeholders, arranging meetings and events, and creating surveys.
  • Oversee the KCLSU Wellbeing social media and newsletters, including creating engaging content and responding to queries via these platforms.
  • Promote KCLSU Wellbeing initiatives through the relevant KCLSU and King's webpages, social media, and newsletters.
  • Monitor the relevant department inboxes and respond to enquiries in a polite, timely, and professional manner or forward to relevant staff members.
  • Contribute to work to evaluate and improve our service, including analyzing data and writing reports.
  • Occasionally represent KCLSU Wellbeing at events, engaging with students and promoting our services.
  • Build strong working relationships with other teams within KCLSU and King's to allow for effective collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Be a current undergraduate or postgraduate student of King's College London.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK and provide proof of this when asked by KCLSU.
  • Have a National Insurance number or be in the process of applying for one.
  • Not be a trustee of King's College London Students' Union.
