Job Title: Peer Support Lead in London Prisons

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Peer Support Lead to join our team in London Prisons. As a Peer Support Lead, you will play a vital role in delivering peer-led elements of service delivery, supporting the team and the prison in promoting engagement and delivery of recovery pathways and peer support.

About the Role:
  • Deliver peer-led elements of service delivery, including recruitment, training, and supervision of peer supporters and mentors.
  • Work closely with the prison and wider healthcare services to promote engagement and delivery of recovery pathways and peer support.
  • Develop and coordinate training on a peer support programme.
  • Provide a peer support service to service users in HMP Brixton and Wormwood Scrubs.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice sector and the issues facing substance misusers.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and deliver training on a peer support programme.
  • Previous experience of providing a peer support service to this or a similar client group.
  • A thorough knowledge of and commitment to the process of recovery from addiction.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
