Job Title: Counsellor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at the Highland Council. As a Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing a school counselling service to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to children and young people, addressing a range of mental health issues.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement support plans.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of mental health education programs for children and young people.
  • Participate in multi-agency teams to support the wellbeing of children and young people, and their families when required.

Requirements:

  • Suitably qualified and recognised on an Accredited Register, working within an ethical framework.
  • Qualified and trained to work with children.
