Position Overview

The role of a Placement Counsellor involves offering emotional and therapeutic assistance to children and adolescents aged 4-18 within educational institutions. Adhering to the BACP ethical guidelines, the primary goal is to enhance the mental health and overall well-being of the young individuals served.

  • Place2Be ensures comprehensive support, regular supervision, customized training sessions, and clinical experiences.
  • A minimum commitment of one day per week is required to provide therapeutic services to a maximum of three children.
  • Positions are available during academic terms for one school year, with potential for extensions.
  • Participants can engage in up to six optional workshops aimed at professional growth.
  • Clinical hours accumulated can contribute towards professional accreditation.
  • This role serves as an excellent foundation for future career advancements within Place2Be.
  • Opportunities exist in both primary and secondary educational settings across the country.
