Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to manage the Clinical Trials Aseptic Services Unit (CTASU). The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the CTASU team in managing workload and ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality aseptic pharmaceuticals.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain aseptic preparation standards, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to ensure effective deployment of staff and resources, meeting patient needs and maintaining quality standards.
  • Oversee the environmental monitoring program, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact aseptic preparation.
  • Participate in quality assurance inspections and sponsor audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Clinical Trials
  • Ensure all CTASU staff comply with ICH-GCP and GMP standards for clinical trials.
  • Develop and implement written pharmacy guidance and SOPs for each clinical trial, adhering to regulatory standards.
Teaching and Training
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs for staff, ensuring they meet mandatory training requirements.
  • Coordinate the training for rotational staff, including clinical trial teams and pre-registration pharmacists.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in aseptic pharmacy services, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. The Trust offers a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and opportunities for professional development.
