About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Advisory Manager to join our Scotland Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team at KPMG. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering UK corporation tax compliance services and tax advisory projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a main point of contact for a portfolio of clients on day-to-day tax matters, working closely with our Managers and Senior Manager.
  • Support the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services, including tax reporting and tax audit work.
  • Contribute to tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input, based on experience and researching topics, and by working with other areas of tax and our overseas member firms to incorporate their input into our advice.
  • Ensure our clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business.
  • Supervise the work of junior members of staff and provide coaching to support their development.
  • Assist our Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, including complying with appropriate quality and risk management procedures and financial management.
  • Support the leadership with business development opportunities.

About You

  • Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent.
  • UK corporation tax experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze problems, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate, and integrate information.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clear.
  • High level of drive, with the ability to sustain enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.
  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for managing own work and juggling competing priorities.
  • Continuously learns from experiences, seeking out feedback and development opportunities.
  • Coaches less experienced staff, giving clear directions and constructive feedback.
  • Works in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues, clients, and the wider community.
  • Builds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge, and experience.
