Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our customers in the commercial vehicle industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Service Support: Provide technical support and services to customers for commercial vehicles, electric drive systems, and bus transmissions.
  2. Diagnostics and Repairs: Carry out diagnostics and repairs at customers' sites, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  3. Major Unit Exchanges: Carry out major unit exchanges, including electrical drive systems and other related components.
  4. Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to sales colleagues, ensuring that they have the necessary information to effectively sell our products and services.
  5. Paperwork and Reporting: Complete and submit paperwork, including engineering reports, to ensure that all work is properly documented.
  6. Stock Levels: Maintain stock levels of spare parts and other materials, ensuring that they are always available when needed.
  7. Company Vehicle: Maintain the company vehicle, ensuring that it is always in good working condition.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Completed an engineering apprenticeship as a minimum, with a preferred level 5 or higher qualification.
  2. Experience: Mechatronics and multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias, with a background in field service engineering.
  3. Skills: Working knowledge of zero emission vehicles, electrical drive/fuel cell, and high voltage vehicle systems.
  4. IT Skills: Good IT skills, including proficiency in software and systems related to electrical drive systems.
  5. Driving License: A Full UK Driving Licence.
