Commercial Vehicle Field Service Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Field Service Engineer to join our team at GHA Recruitment Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a specialist in intelligent drive technology and systems, serving diverse industries such as oil and gas, energy, mining, ship technology, rail, and commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide service support for commercial vehicles, electric drive, and bus transmissions
  • Carry out diagnostics and repairs at customer sites
  • Perform major unit exchanges
  • Support OEMs as required
  • Offer technical support and advice to sales colleagues
  • Complete and submit paperwork together with engineering reports
  • Maintain stock levels and company vehicle

Requirements:

  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship as a minimum, preferably level 5 or higher qualification
  • Mechatronics and multiskilled engineer with an electrical bias
  • Background in field service engineering
  • Experience with electrical vehicles
  • Working knowledge of zero-emission vehicles, electrical drive, and fuel cell systems
  • Experience with high-voltage vehicle systems
  • Working knowledge of variable speed electric drives and control systems
  • Good IT skills
  • A full UK driving license

  • 41-hour working week (Mon-Thurs 08:00-17:00, Fri 07:00-15:30)
