Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Residential Childcare Support Specialist to provide care and support to children with diverse needs in a residential setting.

This role involves supporting children with learning difficulties, autism, physical disabilities, and complex challenging behaviours. Responsibilities include delivering physical and emotional support, assisting with care plans, conducting risk assessments, and reporting incidents and accidents.

  • Daily Activities: Supporting children with daily routines, including getting them to and from school.
  • Recreational Activities: Engaging in leisure activities and helping children build social skills and friendships.
  • Safeguarding: Assisting with safeguarding measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in care.
  • Training and Development: Attending training sessions, meetings, and contributing to individual care plan development.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience working with children in a residential or care setting.
  • An Enhanced DBS check and a clean criminal record.
  • An overseas police check, if required.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Salary Information: This role offers a competitive salary of £11.00 per hour (depending on experience) + £4.00 per sleep shift, along with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
