Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our EMEA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts, including cash posting, allocation, and reconciliation.
- Chase customers for payment, using a professional and proactive approach.
- Review and update customer master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Use credit agency reports to recommend credit limits for customer accounts.
- Responsible for direct debit collection set-ups and ensuring departmental paperwork is filed accurately.
- Follow up on queries and escalate issues to relevant teams or manager in a timely manner.
- Place customers on credit hold as necessary.
- Liaise with internal customers, including Warehouse, Customer Services, and Commercial teams.
- Responsible for order management, including the release of orders.
- Handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
- Responsible for EMEA interco accounts and dunning runs.
- Process e-invoicing and perform credit checks and risk assessments on potential clients.
- Participate in initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Accounts Payable team.
- Collaborate with the Finance team on customer account due diligence, terms, reconciliations, and payment recovery.
- Support with ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of credit control experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Fluent in Spanish is essential, French is preferable.
