Finance Assistant Role

Orka Financial is seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join their team in West Drayton. As a key member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for processing supplier and customer invoices, raising purchase orders, and supporting credit control and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Processing: Accurately process and pay supplier invoices, ensuring timely payment and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers.
  • Customer Invoicing: Process customer invoices, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
  • Purchase Orders: Raise purchase orders, managing inventory and ensuring efficient procurement processes.
  • Credit Control: Manage credit control and credit management, ensuring timely payment and minimizing bad debt.
  • Finance Support: Provide administrative support to the Finance team, including VAT returns, payroll, finance system management, and year-end tasks.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing management reports, providing insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Administration: Perform ad-hoc office administration tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all financial tasks.
  • Finance Experience: Possess experience in a finance role, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, with the ability to adapt quickly to new software.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new software and systems, with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Time Management: Exhibit excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing tasks.
