About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our Buying Team at South Lincs Foodservice. As a key member of our team, you will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of our purchasing function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Buying Team, ensuring the function runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Build strong working relationships with Assistant Buyers and other team members, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Communicate with suppliers to acquire necessary information and materials, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Verify the accuracy of product brochures and marketing materials, communicating any amendments to the Marketing team or suppliers.
  • Review and update product descriptions and information on our system and online platforms.
  • Set up and manage activity trackers, spreadsheets, and reports to support the Buying Team.
  • Provide support with setting up and placing product orders, ensuring timely delivery and meeting Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.
Requirements
  • Administrative experience, preferably in a purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to extract and manipulate data.
  • Customer-focused approach, with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality.
