Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the buying team, ensuring the function runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Build excellent working relationships with the Assistant Buyers and other stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Supplier Management: Communicate with suppliers to acquire required information and materials, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Quality Control: Check the accuracy of product brochures and marketing materials, communicating amendments to the Marketing team and/or suppliers as necessary.
  • Product Information Management: Review and update product descriptions and information on our system and online platforms.
  • Activity Tracking: Set up and manage activity trackers to monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Spreadsheet Management: Provide support with setting up and maintaining spreadsheets and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Build internal relationships with other teams, such as Marketing and Operations, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Meeting Coordination: Arrange internal and external meetings, participate in team meetings, workshops, and depot presentations, and deputize for the Assistant Buyers as needed.
Requirements
  • Administrative Experience: Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a purchasing or procurement environment.
  • IT Skills: Strong IT skills, particularly in Word and Excel, with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Customer Focus: A customer-driven approach, with a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to meet customer needs.
  • Team Player: A team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm under pressure.
