Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lounge Manager to lead our team at the newly built Emirates Lounge at Stansted Airport. As a key member of our Sodexo Live team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage services, managing a team of front and back of house staff, and ensuring efficient operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Service Delivery: Plan, manage, and deliver high-quality food and beverage services to meet the expectations of Emirates premium customers.
  • Team Management: Manage, guide, and coach a team of service, cleaning, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to explain food and beverage options, gauge needs, and make recommendations to meet their exact requirements.
  • Operational Management: Manage staff performance, employee working hours, staff training, and store management in close collaboration with the Emirates lounge team.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Complete monthly reports for Emirates in coordination with the Account Manager and provide solutions to operational airport challenges.
  • Financial Management: Manage the contract financially, working towards achieving financial and non-financial targets.
  • Staff Performance Management: Manage staff performance through regular one-to-one meetings and appraisals.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in delivering high-end quality customer service and product, managing a team, and catering experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work on own initiative within a team environment, flexible approach, and able to work 5 out of 7 days.
  • Education: Relevant education or training in hospitality, customer service, or a related field.
