Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join our Trevor Howell Day Unit team, providing leadership and coordination of nursing care for patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies and supportive treatments.

This exciting opportunity requires a professional role model who can lead and manage the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care and education for all staff.

  • Management of the day unit, including organisation and resource allocation.
  • Safe coordination of the unit and staff training.
About the Job

The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership to a highly skilled specialist team offering treatments for patients with solid tumours and malignant haematological conditions.

Minimum 2 years post-registration experience, with at least 1 year within the speciality is required. The ability to identify stress in self and others and take effective action is essential.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating the nursing team and ensuring high standards of care.
  • Managing the day unit and allocating resources.
  • Ensuring education and training opportunities for staff.
  • Maintaining high standards of care for patients.

Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification.
  • Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy qualification.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and that of other staff.
  • Leadership roles and skills.
