Warehouse Operations Manager

Woodland Group is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Hayes warehouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues in the Warehouse and Operations Teams to ensure the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement warehouse operational strategies to achieve business objectives;
- Motivate and lead a team of warehouse staff to ensure productivity targets are met;
- Respond to new business opportunities to maximize the potential of the warehouse facility;
- Ensure safe operations and adherence to Health and Safety Executive requirements;
- Maintain the security of the warehouse and safeguard property;
- Comply with aviation security regulations;
- Ensure quality and customer service standards are met;
- Demonstrate financial and commercial understanding to manage costs and maximize financial return;
- Plan orders for delivery and pickup to meet customer schedules;
- Ensure stock takes are completed regularly and any discrepancies are dealt with and communicated in a timely manner;
- Train and develop the warehouse team, as well as monitor and manage performance;
- Manage the effective use of technology to streamline processes;
- Produce regular reports and statistics on warehouse performance;
- Ensure the warehouse and yard are kept clean and tidy.
