Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our specialist team in the growing sector of Specialist and Later Living.

The role involves collaborating with the Specialist Living Sector Director, the business development team, and sector experts already in the practice, as well as colleagues in the wider Residential sector.

You will develop existing and new relationships, establish sector expertise within a network of contacts, and bring in new opportunities to the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Decision Making: Conduct research into the sector-specific market, identify current opportunities, and work with the wider team to deliver strategic medium- and long-term objectives.
  • Design Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, develop an understanding of best practices, and create opinion around later living.
  • Seeking New Work: Express thought leadership and sector opinion publicly, maintain relationships with existing contacts, and develop new contacts through opinion and industry events.
  • Maintaining Client Relationships: Be the primary point of contact with key clients, have conversations about performance and feedback opportunities for improvement.
  • Managing Team and Workload: Develop long-term relationships with the Regional Director network, create a team of expertise within your local office, and support the team with workload and decision-making.
  • Financial Monitoring: Support the team with workload and decision-making, work with internal project support and project runners to manage fees and billing, monitor cost/time expenditure against budgets, and understand scope and frameworks to recognize opportunities for additional recovery.

This role requires:

  • A proven track record in timely, pragmatic, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Proficiency in the use of Revit.
  • Previous experience in the Residential Sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Significant post-qualified (ARB) experience.
  • Professional experience working in a high-quality, design and delivery focused practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a large multi-disciplinary team, manage a small team, and work independently.
  • Excellent drawing and presentation skills and the ability to explain a design idea and evolution of a concept.
