About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team at Capgemini Engineering. As a System Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our clients' systems and software, particularly in the defence and nuclear sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety engineering standards and guidelines for our clients' systems and software.
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment to ensure the safety of our clients' systems and software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of our clients' systems and software.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases and safety plans.
  • Provide safety training and support to our clients' teams.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field, such as safety engineering, systems engineering, or software engineering.
  • Proven experience in safety engineering, particularly in the defence and nuclear sectors.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, including BS EN 61508, RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C, BS EN 26262, Def Stan 00-55, Def Stan 00-66, and BS EN 50128.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
