About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Coach to join our team at a Secondary School in Barking. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of behaviour management and coaching strategies in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one and small group coaching to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
  2. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop tailored learning plans.
  3. Offer pastoral care and support, helping students manage behaviour, develop study skills, and build self-confidence.
  4. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting support strategies as needed.
  5. Promote positive behaviour and engagement with learning activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Coach or in a similar support role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management and coaching strategies in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, proactive, and supportive approach to assisting students with diverse needs.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
