We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust, a specialist SEN school in Islington. The successful candidate will take on additional responsibilities in a dedicated learning environment for children with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a bespoke SEN setting. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for leading small group sessions and interventions, supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons, and planning and delivering activities in line with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead small group sessions and interventions to support student learning and development.
  • Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and providing additional support to students as needed.
  • Plan and deliver activities in line with IEPs to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide 1:1 support for students with complex SEN, promoting independence and life skills development.
Requirements:
  • HLTA qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience in an SEN environment, preferably with Autism and MLD.
  • Clear DBS check.
