Paving Professional Wanted

We are seeking a skilled Paver to join our team at Fawkes & Reece South in the Eastbourne area. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for laying asphalt, concrete, or other materials on roads, driveways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces.

The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation, operating paving machines, and ensuring smooth and level installations. A strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work is essential.

Average salary: £20-21 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate paving machines, rollers, and other equipment to lay asphalt or concrete.
  • Prepare surfaces for paving by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers.
  • Measure and mark areas to be paved, ensuring proper alignment and thickness.
  • Mix and apply materials, ensuring proper consistency and application.
  • Monitor the quality of the work to meet specifications, ensuring smooth, even surfaces.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Paver or in a related construction role.
  • Ability to operate paving machinery, including pavers, rollers, and other construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of materials and techniques used in paving.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
